Inspired by the weathered tones of terracotta and jade throughout historic Santiago de Querétaro.
Each envelope was addressed by hand in a modern gestural style of brush calligraphy.
I had the honor to work with one of my dear childhood friends in creating the stationery and paper details for her destination wedding in her Grandma’s hometown of Querétaro, Mexico. Gabby’s wedding was so inspiring for me as the city of Querétaro is so rich in history and full of beautiful details. I was specifically inspired by all the amazing architectural details in her reception location, Casa Mota, and created a pattern and color palette that was inspired by this beautiful glass etching on the doors of the venue. We found a balance of bold and refined in this suite by merging muted tones and textures with fun and lively pattern work and finished things off with hand-crafted details with hand drawn illustrations on the map card, a custom return address stamp, hand lettered vellum wrap and hand addressed envelopes.
